High Street Girlswear Collection for A/W 09

The project was created from a design brief by George at Asda

From looking at the trend prediction website, Stylesight, I researched the AW 09 trends for Girls. The trend that appealed to me the most was called Union which is based on the rustic countryside. For this I looked at vintage objects such as old toys, antique buttons and bobbins for their colour and graphics. I also looked at derelict factories and their cobbles, signs and worn out bricks. The fabrics for this trend would be quite traditional, with tweeds, velvets and chunky knits being key.
